- What is Gyrotonic?
Gyrotonic is a non impact weightbearing exercise system providing a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. The gyrotonic method is performed on the Professional Pulley Tower which is a piece of equipment developed by Juliu Horvath. The tower is fully adjustable and meets the needs of varying levels of strength and body types. The Pully tower and handle unit provide a constant resistance eliminating any jarring movements and allowing for continous, uninterupted and flowing movements in a circulating and undulating manner. Gyrotonic embraces key exercise principles also found in swimming, dance ,yoga, gymnastics and tai chi.

The gyrotonic expansion system allows muscles to strengthen and stretch whilst simultaneously strengthening and stimulating connective tissue in and around the joints. By using corresponding breath patterns it enhances and stimulates the cardiovascular system.
